The meeting of the Hull Board of Selectmen was called to order at 9:30 pm on Tuesday evening, August 1,2006 at the Anne Scully Senior Center. Samoset Avenue, Hull, Massachusetts
Present:; John Silva, Vice Chairman; Ron Davy, Clerk; Christopher Olivieri, and Joan Meschino, Members. Also present were Christopher McCabe, Town Manager, and James Lampke, Town Counsel.
Not present: John Reilly, Chairman
Nantasket Bay Club, Inc. dba The Ocean Club, Kristin Martin, Manager. 42A State Park Road-Amendment to Entertainment License
Ron Davy, Clerk conducted the meeting as John Silva, Vice Chairman, recused
himself as an abutter to the applicant's business.
Present for the Ocean Club was Gregory Sullivan Attorney, representing the applicant.
Sullivan submitted copies of the receipts of notice to the abutters mailed on July 27, 2006 and a brief recess was held to allow Sullivan to confer with his staff confirming that all letters were mailed on the same day.
Sullivan also presented the layout of speakers and the system for the background music (piped-in). No changes were requested to the live entertainment hours, only to the hours for the background music.
Davy, Meschino and Olivieri reported that they had done a site visit for a demonstration of the background music, viewing the speakers and listening to the sound to determine if the system was as quiet as described by the applicant.
Moved-Olivieri: To amend the entertainment license to authorize background music on the patio during the hours of operation that are currently from Sun. – Thurs. 11 am to 10pm and Fri. –Sat. 11 am to 11 pm pursuant to the sound system plan on file.
